Monoacid is a mixture of unpolymerized fatty acid monomers and small molecules produced by a small amount of cracking separated during the production of dimer acid from plant oleic acid. It is a white solid at room temperature and has the general properties of fatty acids. It is mainly used in the manufacture of paints, deinking agents, lubricants, tanning agents, detergents, plastic plasticizers, daily cosmetics, etc. It can also be used in the production of alkyd resin coatings, isomeric acids and pharmaceutical intermediates.
